Wisconsin Youth are described as dedicated, hard working and responsible when they prepare and exhibit their livestock proudly at Wisconsin State Fair. These words and many more showcase Wisconsin's most valuable asset, its Youth. To be part of the Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction is one of the highest honors for Wisconsin State Fair Junior Exhibitors to achieve.
The Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction draws a capacity crown every year. Media attention not only focuses on the Junior Exhibitors but the auction buyer's as well.

Each year funds raised by the Governor's Blue Ribbon Livestock have gone towards:
- Scholarships
- Wisconsin Livestock Breeder's Association Showcamp
- Camp Of Champions
- Wisconsin Livestock Breeders Show Camp
and other Wisconsin State Fair Youth Programs.
